Abstract:
Play is a key element in child development, significantly impacting the formation of socio-emotional skills in primary school students. Research shows that play helps children develop essential skills like empathy, collaboration, communication, and emotional self regulation. Furthermore, play contributes to cognitive and physical development, stimulating creativity and critical thinking. Psychologists such as Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, and Erik Erikson emphasize play’s role in the educational process, showing how it facilitates learning through exploration and social interaction. Integrating play into educational activities not only supports socio-emotional development but also creates a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment, aiding students' adaptation to school and society.
