Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze the relationships between Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder and impulse control disorders not otherwise classified (kleptomania, pyromania). It highlights epidemiologic studies conducted to determine the prevalence and incidence of this disorder in the general population. Thus, based on the methodological premise on psychiatric epidemiology, prevalence data in samples of adults and young adolescents will be presented, with special attention paid to obsessive-compulsive syndrome.
