Abstract:
The article explores the opportunities for implementing CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) in educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova, an innovative educational approach that combines the teaching of a non-linguistic subject with the learning of a non-mother tongue/foreign language. In order to analyse the current educational context in the Republic of Moldova and the challenges associated with the implementation of this method, a case study was carried out in several educational institutions in the country. The responses provided us with clear information about teachers’ attitudes towards improving pupils’ language skills through this method. Thus, the opportunities include diversification of the curriculum, mastering strategies for effective integration of the method into the educational system, as well as increasing students’ motivation for the labour market. It is gradually coming to the realisation that, in order to ensure the successful implementation of this method, it is necessary to train teachers, develop curricular products, ensure cooperation between state institutions for different levels of education, and adapt existing educational policies in response to the challenges presented by the CLIL method.

Articolul explorează oportunitățile de implementare a metodei CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) în instituțiile de învățământ din Republica Moldova, o abordare educațională inovatoare care îmbină predarea unei discipline non-lingvistice cu învățarea unei limbi nematerne/străine. Pentru a analiza contextul educațional actual din Republica Moldova și provocările asociate implementării acestei metode, s-a realizat un studiu de caz în mai multe instituții de învățământ din țară. Răspunsurile ne-au oferit informații clare despre atitudinea cadrelor didactice privind imbunătățirea competențelor lingvistice ale elevilor prin această metodă. Astfel, printre oportunități se numără diversificarea curriculumului, stăpânirea strategiilor de integrare eficientă a metodei în sistemul educațional, dar și creșterea motivației elevilor pentru piața muncii. Se ajunge progresiv la ideea că, pentru a asigura succesul implementării acestei metode, este necesară formarea cadrelor didactice, elaborarea produselor curriculare, o colaborare între instituțiile statului pentru diferite niveluri de educație, dar și adaptarea politicilor educaționale existente ca răspuns la provocările prezentate de metoda CLIL.
