Abstract:
Cultural interferences enrich the nations’ popular culture, and this aspect is also noticeable when referring to the Romanian cultural space. An ethnic community is represented by a part of the population living together in the same country or village, speaking the same language, having the same customs and common cultural traditions, and sharing the same kind of religious beliefs. Cultural influences commonly prevail between ethnic communities, with play being one of the first activities that children come into contact with, mainly because it involves a universal type of language. In the context of these activities, there will be no room for prejudice, as the children will be led into a world where all that matters is fun and the learning of new skills, a universe where language barriers and religious boundaries have no place. Thus all the activities will be bilingual by default. Certainly, childhood is a time marked by magic and discovery, and playfulness plays a key role in the development of children, who turn out to be true explorers. In this article, we explore the fascinating depths of the world of childhood and the importance of play in this exciting context.
