Abstract:
The article presents the results obtained as part of the doctoral thesis with the theme - Development of research/investigation competence in primary school students (Natural Sciences) exemplifies the three types of transfer - sequential, lateral and vertical of the knowledge, skills and research attitudes of young schoolchildren through STE(A)M projects. The approach to the methodological aspects and the instructional process are presented from the perspective of the teacher mediator of learning as well as from the perspective of the activity of the student who builds his own learning. Knowledge is valued integratedly and through meaningful and contextualized activities derived from students' life experiences and their scientific research interests. Curiosity motivates research, and active involvement is determined by planning in accordance with the level of psychopedagogical development of students and their level of competence in investigating Natural Sciences.
