Abstract:
Literature as the art of the word awakens aesthetic emotions, amplifying the transfer of acquisitions in the field of language and literature in communication from different contexts, but also self-knowledge, recognition of personal emotions or those of others, building one's own values and positive character traits. The paradigm of personal development assumes placing the student and his learning potential at the center of the education process, generating two directions of action: deep understanding of the individual characteristics of students and offering personalized support for their development. The most significant challenge in the study of the Romanian language and literature in the primary grades is to ensure the success of all students in terms of reading and textual comprehension as a foundation for lifelong learning, in all subjects. Integrating listening into the reading curriculum is a beneficial practice. This perspective aligns with other studies that highlight the connection between reading and listening in terms of the comprehension process. In this sense, narrative universes are immersive environments, created with the help of stories, that can influence the thinking, emotion and behavior of listeners. The integration of listening to stories in the lessons of the curricular cycle of fundamental acquisitions has a positive impact both on the comprehension of the text and on the attitudes of the students towards reading and towards learning in general.
