Abstract:
Wellbeing in psycho-socio-educational contexts represents an important direction for investigation and intervention, crossing psychology, sociology and the educational sphere. This concept transcends disciplinary boundaries, having significant implications for mental health, social relationships, and school performance. Essentially, wellbeing reflects a personality’s balance and satisfaction in multiple aspects of life. The scientific approaches within psychology and the field of education highlight various structural components of wellbeing, among them we highlight: the feeling of being happy, self acceptance, control over the environment, the capacity for autonomy, positive relationships with others, the purpose and the meaning of life. These components are key elements for understanding and promoting wellbeing in educational contexts. In a psycho-socio-educational setting, wellbeing can be shaped by various factors, including: the quality of interpersonal relationships, the support of the social environment, cultural values, school climate, convictions, socio-emotional abilities etc. Educational interventions and programs focused on improving wellbeing can help increase resilience, reduce stress and promote a positive atmosphere within educational environment. Understanding and addressing wellbeing in psycho socio-educational contexts is an essential direction for optimizing the educational experience and for the harmonious development of the personality.
