Abstract:
The article contains the results of an experimental research of well-being, gender difference in well-being manifestation and relationship between well-being and personality traits at adults. The sample of research was formed from 80 adults aged 21 – 76 years old. In order to investigate well being and personality traits on all adults we applied: The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, Freiburg Personality Inventory. As results we established that all the adults have a moderate (87,50%) and high level (12,50%) of well-being. For the adults with high level of well-being the defining elements are: a good health, a high level of life-satisfaction and harmonious, assertive and efficient relationship with others. A higher level of well-being is characteristic to the women. For adults with high level of well being are particular the following personality traits: calm character, emotional stability, sincerity, sociability and extraversion.
