Abstract:
As a result of the reaction between copper(II) acetate, dianylglyoxime and iminodiacetic acid, a multicomponent Cu(II) ionic compound with the formula ((CH3)2OH)2[Cu(IDA)2][Cu(IDAH)2] was obtained. This compound includes two mononuclear complexes of Cu(II), one being a neutral molecular complex, and the other in the form of a complex dianion, which is caused by the different mode of deprotonation of the IDAH2 ligands. In the crystal, the charge of the complex anions is compensated by that of the protonated dimethyl ether ((CH3)2OH)+ entrained as an organic cation.
