Abstract:
On December 6, 1873 the Real School for the boys was opened in Chisinau, the purpose of which was to acquire practical and technical skills along with general education. The interesting document was found in the National Archives of the Republic of Moldova. It informs us about one educational tour which took place on the 4 th and 5 th of October, 1909, when a group of 25 pupils and 4 teachers from the Chisinau Real School went to the Romanian city of Jași. It’s of particular interest to follow in the footsteps of this excursion, surprisingly rich in historical facts, in order to learn the history of the Romanian city and visit such architectural monuments as the Church of the Three Hierarchs, Metropolitan, St. Nicholas Church, university, theatre etc. Today conducting a similar excursion in Jași it would also be very relevant and could be a fascinating tourist route for some modern guide.
