Abstract:
This article discusses the particulars of the competences development for democratic culture in the National Army. The competences for democratic culture in the military environment are shaped within the activities of promoting military traditions, military culture and civic education, as part of combat training. The National Army has structures with attributions in the field of training democratic culture abilities for personnel. In the process of training these skills, the National Army cooperates with a large number of NGOs, cultural organisations and the Orthodox Church, etc. Educational activity has an important role in schooling the military personnel and contributes to the prevention of conflict situations betwin them, through specific forms and methods. Although the educational activity in the army is planned and organized, the commanders of military units face difficulties in forming the skills of democratic culture and guaranteeing the human rights of their subordinates.
