Abstract:
The aim of integrating ICT into education is to improve the quality of teaching - learning and develop competences required in the digital world. To achieve the given goal, a teacher must develop digital competences, one of which is the competence to design educational content with the integration of ICT. The expected outcome of ICT implementation depends very much on the level of digital skills of each individual teacher. By the level of development of the competence to create digital educational content, the quality of the content developed can be estimated. If teachers do not correctly emphasize the pedagogical value of the corresponding digital competence, it will remain a "fashionable" accessory in the School Curriculum. In the process of designing educational content, special attention should be paid to learning theories. Digital educational content is a major component of digital technologies. Digital content refers to digital resources and data. Very often, new technologies offer nothing more than a simple digitization of content without substantial added value. To improve the quality of education and develop digital competences, a teacher must possess quality content creation skills.
