Abstract:
The article describes some topics that are researched students in the Biology extension classes and in the development of STE(A)M research projects. The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary character of the projects is emphasized. Recommendations are given for increasing the attractiveness of biology as a school subject. Examples of research projects that popularize the science of Biology are presented, for example, the maze-like diagram „Origin of man”, which can be used in Biology lessons in game form. Another STE(A)M project involves students in determining the systematic position of decorative plants in the high school premises. A transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research concerns geometric fractals in biology and medicine. Within the research projects, the responsible attitude towards life is developed and the nature protection behavior is formed.
