Abstract:
In this article we want to delimit two concepts that are very important in the structure of personality and for personal development: personal identity and social identity. Personal identity is the set of characteristics of an individual, such as his attitudes and abilities, his character, his temperament, his strengths and weaknesses, all of which allow this to differ from others and to recognize their individuality and personality. Social identity refers to self-descriptions related to the formal and informal affiliations of the individual, such as sex, nationality, profession, religion, etc.
