Abstract:
The community is a social-human entity. In the sociological view, the community appears as a totality of beliefs, value orientations, interests. Although it cultivates the spirit of unity of the members, the collective voice, the community does not mean simple and primitive social relations. It presents itself as a complex organization, often with rigid institutional norms, bringing together similar interests, often negotiated by the members (the case of the „scientific community” or the „business community”). The community represents one of the main source of solving a wide spectrum of social problems. The systematization of sociologists’ views on community, allows us to identify a number of potential and real, necessary and sufficient reasons for community identification.
