Abstract:
The paper presents proposals developed for updating the water quality monitoring subsystem in the river hydro graphical basin of the river Răut from the Republic of Moldova. The major needs for resetting the water quality monitoring subsystem in the Răut river basin are dictated by climate change and the increasing anthropogenic impact. Existing information in this field is analysed and concrete proposals for the creation of new posts for streamlining the monitoring of water quality and ecological management in the Răut river basin are presented.
