Abstract:
This study presents the experimental results related to the productivity of the cyanobacterium Spirulina platensis (Nordst.) Geitl - CALU - 835, which was cultivated for 8 days on modified nutrient media supplemented with a Zn(II) coordination compound. According to the results of the study, a greater amount of fresh biomass was obtained when cultivating spirulina on the Zarrouk culture medium supplemented with Zn(II) coordinating compound in a concentration of 5 mg/L. The biomass accumulated in these experimental variants was 9.55 g/L, exceeding that accumulated by the control by about 4.6%.
