Abstract:
In this paper we report spectroscopic studies with which we evaluated the kinetics of the reverse spontaneous thermal isomerization process in the dark cis→trans for [4-(4-chlorobenzyloxy)-3-methylphenyl] (p-tolyl)diazene. We calculated the rates of the primary thermal isomerization process and estimated the activation energy. We highlighted the fact that several spontaneous thermal processes are present, each address a specific isomerization pathway.
