Abstract:
Three dihydrazone Schiff base ligands, H2L1 = 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(isonicotinoylhydrazone), H2L2 = 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(nicotinoylhydrazone) and H2L3 = 2,6-diacetilpiridine bis(picolinoylhydrazone), have been used as promising chemosensory for Cd(II) detection using photoluminescence and UV-vis spectroscopy. In addition, mononuclear coordination compounds of Cd(II) with these ligands have been prepared.
