Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to highlight the benefits of a curriculum based on outdoor schooling. Most of the time the education received at school covers only the theoretical (cognitive) aspect, lacking the practical study of the theoretical topics. In outdoor education, the student learns everything in a practical, active way, through personal experiences that he then reflects on in order to extract the teachings. This way of learning, characteristic of outdoor education, is illustrated by the method of investigation that stimulates an interrogative attitude, a creative perspective on the contents by reanalyzing and restructuring them. Learning efficiency of Natural Sciences classes can be increased through an empiric outdoor education by developing these skills.
