Abstract:
The right to health is one of the fundamental human rights. According to the World Health Organization, the health of the individual is defined as "a state of physical, mental and social well-being and not just the absence of disease or infirmity." From a public perspective, health is, due to its huge individual, social and demographic implications, one of the most targeted goals of government policies and strategies worldwide. The approach to the fields of health education is made from a scientific, pedagogical and legislative perspective. The teacher can use and harmonize the information on development cycles, depending on the class level, the psychosomatic development of the students and the local particularities. School programs meet the fundamental educational needs of any child and adolescent and the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the integration of sexuality in emotional maturation, stress control, acquisition of landmarks in school and career become essential conditions for the harmonious development of the student's personality. The elaboration of a school curriculum offer of ―Health Education‖ as an optional subject aimed at promoting the correct knowledge regarding various aspects of health and the formation of attitudes and skills indispensable for a responsible and healthy behavior. The school, through its moral authority, can make a substantial contribution to the transmission of this knowledge of education for the health of students, and has the ability and capacity to encompass and address, over time, a high percentage of the population.
